SMCOCNL · Sunday Worship Service – Sun., July 20, 2025

Daryl Hurst, our visiting preacher from Norval Park Church of Christ in Zanesville, focuses his Sunday morning sermon on Luke chapter 15, beginning at verse 3 and a parable Jesus spoke: “An earthly story with a heavenly meeting”. “There will be more joy in Heaven over one sinner who repents than the 99 who are righteous.”

South Main Church of Christ would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to Daryl Hurst and his wife, Karen, for dependably stepping up to lend Daryl’s skills to our congregation from the pulpit as we welcome Gavin and Sami to our church family. Daryl’s support of our church and reflection of the principles of the New Testament cannot be measured by us. Daryl and Karen have supported us through our meandering buildout of our worship technology capabilities, and have stepped up to help through our various experiments to determine what works for our church building, and what doesn’t work, all while providing the most consistent Sunday Worship Service that we can. Daryl was the first to verbally include our internet viewers and listeners to our Sunday Worship Service, an effort we are seeking to continue. Without hesitation, Daryl has jumped in to provide his insight and guidance to our efforts and to be more steadfast to the sound doctrine of our conveyance of the teachings of Christ. We are deeply and eternally thankful to Daryl as a brother In Christ, and are looking forward to his love and support of our church at our future events and occasional visits.

Thank you
