Ernie Starling, elder at South Main Church of Christ, gives the answer.
“Yes, Jesus performs miracles. In fact, Jesus was a miracle,” Ernie explained.
The apostles and those who the apostles laid hands upon were able to cast out demons, and people who were possessed by demons and devils. But the people whom the apostles had laid their hands upon, the miracles stopped.
The purpose of Jesus performing miracles was to prove that God was with him and that he was God’s son.
