Tom Sheppard, elder at South Main Church of Christ, explains what the Bible says about Baptism.

Romans 6 answers the questions:
Paul said “know ye not so many of us were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death.”

When we are baptized and buried under the water, we are buried with him in baptism. This is getting into his death.

“Therefore, we are buried with Him by baptism to his death. Like as Christ was raised, we are raised up to walk in the newness of life.”

That is the way we get baptized.

How can you sprinkle someone and not get buried.

Babies cannot be baptized because they do not know right from wrong. They are sinless.

1 Peter 3:21 tells us, “baptism does also now save us”. Obedience to God.
