For this question, Jim Lanning discusses the New King James Version of the Holy Bible:
Psalms 111, verse 9, which reads “He sent redemption unto his people. He had commanded His covenant forever: Holy and reverend is His name.”

Holy and Reverend is God’s name.

Because of that, we do not use Reverend with any man’s name.
