It is with deep gratitude to Charles Savage and to God that we thank Charles for his many months of service to Christ’s church as a guest preacher. Charles began substituting not long after we lost our beloved, long-time minister, Larry Arnold, in January of 2024. Larry’s absence left a gaping hole in our church and his love cannot be replaced.
Charles has visited our church once a month since then to help spread Christ’s word and has embraced our deployment of worship technology, beginning in the summer of 2024. His contributions to our church cannot be measured. Charles helped to facilitate our relationship with Laura Hamm, the former Musical Director at Ohio Valley College, and is helping us to further develop our paperless hymnal library to use during our Sunday Worship Services. Charles has also been an occasional guest on our South Main Church of Christ Podcast and has provided fellowship to our church members and visitors. Charles’ kind nature has helped to keep us moving forward as a church. His future contributions will include helping to lead our vocal music.
We are grateful to Charles for his contributions and insights as we transition to welcoming and embracing our new pulpit minister, Gavin Juneau, in August, 2025. We are very excited to welcome Gavin and Sami to our church family and make them feel at home. Charles will be there alongside us.
